The Killers – September 7th in Cleveland
This is my last concert review for the summer. On Friday night my husband and I went to see The Killers at CSU. We had front row seats on the side of the stage. The seats were pretty good. I prefer to have a seat than a standing room general admission ticket. I’m short so it’s hard for me to see while standing on the floor.
The performance couldn’t have been better. It’s hard for me to put it into words. I’m such a huge fan and I loved every second of this show. Of course I wanted it to never end. I’ve never been to a concert with so much confetti, but that was just an added feature.
John Soeder wrote a review on his Cleveland.com blog that I thought was a little harsh. John implied that the audience didn’t seem very enthused. I believe this is just a result of the venue. You don’t have that intimate feel at CSU like you have at The Agora or The House of Blues. John also stated that Brandon had few words to say in between songs. Personally, I went to hear the music not to hear him talk. The more songs the better, and less talking equals more music.
I first saw The Killers after the release of Hot Fuss. This show was at what was then called The Scene Pavilion. That was the best show I’ve ever seen in my life. I don’t think anything will ever top that. I’ll continue to buy tickets to see The Killers every time they roll through Ohio. I wouldn’t miss a performance by them for anything.
