A few months ago I saw Claire Teschel’s work on Design*Sponge. At the time I didn’t realize she lived in Cleveland. I found out she was from Cleveland because she is one of the designers participating in The Made in the 216 event coming up this weekend.

A little bit about Claire:

Claire Teschel is a designer originally from Pensacola, Florida. This past March, she received her Masters of Art degree in Advertising Design at The Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). Her most recent project, “More Than Just A Color,” was developed during her time at SCAD. It began as an extra portfolio piece, but grew into something much more. Using a mixed media format (including paint chips and magazine clippings), she makes verbal and visual connections to different shades of paint by relating each color to it’s (sometimes) unique name. Aside from collaging paint chips, Claire also designs stationery and dabbles in photography.
