The Format
I write two blogs. Neither blog is related to music but sometimes I just can’t resist writing about my favorite bands.
The Format is coming to the Agora next Wed. I am so excited I can hardly sleep at night. Anyone that knows me understands my obsession with concerts. This is one band that I’m not going miss. Especially since the tickets are $8.00. How often do you get to see an awesome band like this for so cheap. The Format is one of those bands where you can put in the cd, press play and listen to the whole thing without skipping a song. Yes, it’s that good! I guarantee next time The Format rolls through Cleveland the ticket price for the show will be at least double. If you have nothing to do next Wed. take my recommendation and go see The Format. If you have something to do next Wed. take my recommendation and cancel those plans to see The Format.
Last week Sean and I saw Modest Mouse. They actually performed much better than I expected. It was a great show.
The best concert of the summer is yet to come though. We have front row tickets to see The Killers in September. Can’t wait for that one. I’m sure I’ll have a lot to say about that show.

I am really excited to check out The Format. I’m always looking for new music and I must confess that I’m not familiar with them.
I have been trying to look for those hidden treasure bands/musicians, and of course the Internet makes it easy to do. A few finds to check out if you haven’t already: My Morning Jacket, Kenna and Air. All very different but all very good.
And as far as concerts I’m excited for, rumor has it The Black Keys will be part of Chrissie Hynde and Friends, a concert at the Akron Civic Theatre on the evening of the day her new vegan restaurant, VegiTerranean opens.
